My friend and colleague Iona Italia has taken over command of Areo Magazine from Helen Pluckrose. To mark her ascension, she’s producing a ‘special issue’ on the theme of free speech, and my contribution, I’m proud to say, is the first to be published. It’s on Salman Rushdie, Christopher Hitchens, and the need for solidarity in defence of free speech. Other contributors will be published in the next week or so, so keep an eye out. See my essay here.
And since it’s been a while since I’ve posted on here, do check out the archive for various new articles I’ve written in the past few months, including Areo reviews of Ayaan Hirsi Ali’s Prey and Richard Dawkins’s Books Do Furnish A Life.
